EconHealth is set against the backdrop of changing economics of the health content market as health information, news and research move online and mobile, and consumer-driven health care becomes a bigger phenomenon.

Raj Amin, a pioneer in digital interactive media, is CEO and co-founder of HealthiNation, the on-demand health video property which can be seen on TVs across the country. Prior to founding HealthiNation, he was an original member of the executive team at N2 Broadband, which was acquired in 2005 by Tandberg TV. Earlier, Raj led advertising product strategy for Replay TV.
Raj has served the media industry as a founding board member of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Cable Television Association of Marketing, and for three years as a board member for CTAM’s New York Chapter. He currently serves as board member for Musicians On Call. Raj has also been a frequent speaker at industry events focusing on the changing media landscape, including AdWeek’s Cable UP conference and Insight Forum’s Consumer Directed Healthcare Conference.

Steve Case, chairman and CEO of Revolution LLC, a co-founder of America Online 
Steve Case launched Revolution Health, a company that seeks to drive transformative change by shifting power to consumers, in April of 2005. Revolution Health’s mission is to partner with entrepreneurs in building businesses that give people more choice, control and convenience in important areas of their lives.
Prior to founding Revolution Health, Steve was the co-Founder, Chair and CEO of America Online, Inc., and later, the Chairman of AOL Time Warner. As the co-founder of AOL, Steve played an integral role in building the world’s largest Internet company and helped transform how people communicate, learn and conduct business.
Steve is currently Chairman of two non-profit organizations, the Case Foundation, which he established in 1997 with his wife Jean and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2), which he founded in 2001 with his late brother Dan. He was also honored with the National Mentoring Partnership Leadership Award.

Stephanie Dolgins, VP-Women’s & Lifestyle, AOL 
Stephanie Dolgins is the Vice President and General Manager of AOL Women’s and Lifestyle Programming division. In this role, Stephanie oversees the health, diet and fitness, style, food, home, life coaches sites, among others. Under her leadership, AOL has revamped their health area, AOL Body, to focus on original programming. She also led the launches of key stand-alone sites such as StyleList.com and AOL Home.
Previously, Stephanie served as Vice President of Marketing for AOL where she oversaw a 30-person department devoted to branding and promoting AOL’s web-based businesses. In this role, she led marketing for key events including Gold Rush and Live8, the Internet’s first Emmy Award winning program. She originally joined AOL in 2002 as Executive Director of National Sponsorships. Prior to AOL, Dolgins worked at Walt Disney Internet Group, where she served as Vice President, Consumer & Sales Marketing, ABC Internet Group.

Esther Dyson, EDventure 
Esther Dyson is actively involved in improving the world’s health, both as an investor and as the publisher on the Internet of her own genome and health records, as part of George Church’s Personal Genome Project.
She was an early investor in and a board member of Medscape, now part of WebMD. She was also an investor in Medstory, now part of Microsoft. Currently, she is an investor in several innovative projects including 23andMe, PatientsLikeMe, Medicalgorithmics, Ovusoft and Resilient. She has written two monographs on electronic records and health information liquidity, and ran the 2005 Personal Health Information workshop co-sponsored by New York’s New School University.

David Kang, SVP and Editorial Director of Rodale Interactive Services 
David L. Kang, J.D., Ph.D. is the SVP and Editorial Director of Rodale Interactive Services. David leads product development for initiatives on healing, new interactive products and online subscription services for Rodale, a publisher of health and wellness magazines and books.
Prior to Rodale, Mr. Kang was SVP Entertainment at Major League Baseball Advanced Media, leading partnerships with music artists. His experience also includes working at artist management company The Firm as SVP of Strategic Development and New Media, and BMG Entertainment as SVP of New Technology and Strategic Development. Earlier, he was a technology evangelist for Harvard Business School, where he also taught at both the MBA and Executive Education programs. He holds a Joint Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University and Harvard Business School, an MA in Sociology from Harvard University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

David Kramer, CEO, Digitas Health 
David Kramer is a new media entrepreneur. He began his career in advertising, brand management, and consumer goods marketing. In 1990, he co-founded Medical Broadcasting Company with Linda Holliday and built it into a leading provider of digital marketing and communications solutions serving the pharmaceutical and related healthcare industries. It was acquired by Digitas Inc. in 2006, and became part of Digitas Health in 2007. He is also founder and former president of SBK Pictures (1979), a TV commercial and film production company based in Philadelphia. In addition to his CEO duties, David concentrates on client relationship and account management development and is frequently consulted by pharmaceutical company senior management, especially in the development of digital and relationship marketing strategies.

Morris Levitt, Ph.D., leads DeSilva+Phillips’ M&A practice for medical and healthcare media companies, which has completed ten deals in this sector since January 2007. Earlier, Moe founded and was the CEO of Bio-IT World, Inc., an IDG company focusing on information technology, informatics and advanced research techniques in genomic science and related fields. He coordinated the 2006 sale of its properties, Bio-IT World, Health-IT World, and the Bio-IT World Conference and Expo to Cambridge Healthtech.

Michael Mason, Health Editor, NYTimes.com
Michael Mason is the health editor at The New York Times’s Web site, NYTimes.com. In addition, he launched and is the primary editor of Well, The Times’s consumer health blog.
Before joining The Times, Michael worked as the new media development editor at Time Inc.’s Health Magazine, where he launched one of the first major consumer health sites in 1995, spun off as joint venture between AOL and Time Inc., and the first incarnation of Health.com in 2001. As a longtime journalist, his articles have appeared in wide variety of national publications, including Time, Newsweek, People, Health, Discover, and National Geographic. In 2006 he wrote The Consumer, a weekly health column in The Times.

Marjorie Martin, SVP, General Manager, About.com Health 
A career health journalist, Marjorie Martin joined About.com in April 2006 as the SVP and General Manager of Health. Marjorie is responsible for all health information and related tools on About.com, and supervises a staff of physicians and health editors who are responsible for the Health channel’s content.
Marjorie brings more than 20 years of experience to About.com, including eight years as Vice President of Content at WebMD where she was instrumental in launching its editorial operation as well as its first offline publication, WebMD the Magazine. Dean Stephens, president and COO, Healthline 
Dean Stephens served four years as CEO and president of Intermap Systems Inc, the company that became Healthline. He converted the original content portal company into a taxonomy-based search engine that today forms the intellectual property foundation for the Healthline platform. Dean was instrumental in gaining early market adoption of this technology into Merck, Tenet Health Systems, and PacifiCare, among others.
Prior to Healthline, Dean spent thirteen years at Deloitte Consulting, where he was the partner in charge of the customer relationship management service line for Deloitte’s world-renowned healthcare practice. At Deloitte his clients covered the full spectrum of healthcare and included CIGNA, Kaiser Permanente, the Providence Health System, the VHA, the US Dept. of Health and Human Services, Sutter Health, Regence, Dean Health System, and many Blues plans, medical groups, hospitals, and life science companies. Dean has degrees from Dartmouth College and the University of Washington.
